The previous example finished way too quickly and provided no real value in regards to API understanding. Previously, QtConcurrent::map was used, which was also used in other examples. We are now using QtConcurrent::filterReduce to demonstrate other functionality. Qt 4 extends Qt's support for multithreaded applications with an API for concurrent programming which includes implementations of the well-known map-reduce and filter-reduce algorithms. Documentation for these examples can be found via the Examples link in the main Qt documentation.
